SIMRAN’S CHOICE (Vinay Jaiswal) and TANGALOOMAA (App Jorawar Singh) were slow to begin.

When afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge b g JACKNIFE as compared to its previous outing in Race No. 197 run on 18th March, 2017 Tr. Vikash Jaiswal stated that :-

a) In its previous run over a distance of 1200 metres the gelding was well positioned with the front runners and maintained that position till passing the distance post.

b) The gelding is more suitable for races run over a distance of 1100 metres as its record clearly indicates.

c) When comparing the performance of JACKNIFE with b m SHIVALIK STORY, a common horse in both the races, the verdict between the two in this race is well within the ambit of the handicap. The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanations.
