Jockey Vinay Jaiswal, the rider of SPORTING TRAINER, was reprimanded for shifting ‘outwards’ for no apparent reason passing the distance post.

Jockey Dashrath Singh, the rider of SHOURISHA, reported that his reins slipped from his hands during the final stages of the race.

Jockey B Mahesh, the rider of FALCON and Jockey C Alford, the rider of TAYGETUS, were reprimanded for dropping their hands well before passing the winning post.

Trainer Ms. Arti Doctor when queried as to the poor run of her charge b g TAYGETUS stated that :-

a) Soon after the race Jockey C Alford informed her that the gelding on entering the straight just ‘blew-up’.

b) The gelding was running after a long gap of more than three months.

c) The gelding had made progress from Class IV and was now running with the horses of the highest class.

Jockey C Alford when queried stated that his mount ‘blew-up’ on entering the straight and that he was disappointed with the run as he expected a much better performance from the gelding.

The Stipendiary Stewards while noting the Trainer’s explanation informed the Trainer that she must make every effort to run her charges with a degree of fitness that leaves no room for query.
