IVY (App Sujit Kr. Paswan) was tightened for room due to the crowding of the field approaching the 800 metres.

Jockey H G Rathod, the rider of HELICONIA, was reprimanded for failing to maintain a straight course during the final stages of the race.

An objection was lodged by Jockey A Ashhad Asbar, the rider of LOOKING GOOD placed 2nd by the Judge against Jockey Shezad Khan, the rider of MAJOR COLOURS placed 1st, on the grounds of “he took me out throughout the straight and had to put my stick down, hit on the face of my horse which cost me the race”. The Stewards after interviewing Jockeys A Ashhad Asbar and Shezad Khan and viewing the CCTV replay of the race decided to over rule the objection. The Judge’s placings remained unaltered. The “All Clear” signal was hoisted. The objection fee deposited by Jockey A Ashhad Asbar was forfeited.

Jockey Shezad Khan, the rider of MAJOR COLOURS, was fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/- for the excessive use of the whip (2nd offence). Further, he was advised to exercise greater control over his mounts in future.
