For running his charge AMBLESIDE in shoes other than those declared, Tr. Patrick Quinn was fined a sum of Rs. 500/-.

AMBLESIDE (A Imran Khan), CRONOS (Ramandeep S Bal) and UPTOWN GIRL (Md Imran) were slow to begin.

Some distance after the start THE BIG BULL (Vinay Jaiswal, drawn 6) and UPTOWN GIRL (Md. Imran, drawn 5) received various degrees of interference when DARK GOLD (App Ranidan Singh, drawn 7) shifted ‘inwards’. At a subsequent enquiry App Ranidan Singh was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

Jockey Vinay Jaiswal, the rider of THE BIG BULL, was reprimanded for the tender handling of his mount during the final stages of the race. The Jockey was further warned that should he continue to ride in a similar manner in future, he would be reported to the Stewards for appropriate action.

Tr. Patrick Quinn when afforded an opportunity to explain the poor performance of his charge dk b m AMBLESIDE, stated that :-

a) In its last start when Y Srinath rode her, she sat up and hit the front too early and started loafing with the full field climbing onto her at the post.

b) In today’s start he had asked Jockey A Imran Khan to position the mare in 5th/6th position and come up with the late run as she had won a race in Bangalore when ridden in this fashion. However, today the race was run at a fast pace initially and the mare failed to respond adequately and that he was disappointed with its performance.

The Stipendiary Stewards while noting his explanations, advised Mr. Patrick Quinn to ensure that his charges run in such a manner that leaves no room for query.

The Veterinary Officer reported that :-

a) MIRACULIX (Hindu Singh) returned without its right hind shoe and with a cut injury on right hind.

b) CRONOS (Ramandeep S Bal) returned with a cut injury on right hind.
