ATHEIST (C Alford) and QUEEN’S COMMAND (A Ashhad Asbar) were slow to begin. App Nikhil Naidu, the rider of TIBIDABO, reported that his saddle slipped approaching the 600 metres as such he was unable to ride his mount to complete advantage. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was fined a sum of Rs. 500/- for faulty saddling.
Jockey A Ashhad Asbar when afforded an opportunity to explain the performance of his mount b f QUEEN’S COMMAND, stated that after being slow off the filly was not responding to his urgings in spite of his best efforts throughout the race. He further added that in his opinion the distance of the race was too sharp for the filly. His explanation was noted.
Tr. Vikash Jaiswal when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge ch g JABBLE as compared to its previous run in Race No. 76 held on 6th September, 2017, stated that :-
a) The gelding ran a fairly forward race in its previous start wherein it challenged the leaders before fading out.
b) In today’s race it was running with non-winners of the Calcutta Monsoon Meeting 2017 and he was pleasantly surprised with the victory of the gelding. His explanations were noted.
HURRICANE STORM (Sk Israil) finished off the race detached from the field. Tr. D M David was advised not to accept with the gelding until it was capable of a better performance.
