App Hasib Alam, the rider of RISING FROM ASHES, was severely reprimanded for failing to keep his mount on a straight path during the final 400 metres of the race.

TRUE GENIUS (A Ashhad Asbar) which was prominently positioned in the field during the early stages of the race was observed to gradually drop out of contention and on entering the straight was placed at the rear of the field. Thereafter, passing the 250 metres the rig made progress when put under pressure by the Jockey. However, in the concluding stages the rig had to be checked by its rider when running into the heels of HIBIKI (B Mahesh). At the conclusion of a subbsequent enquiry into the running of the animal, Jockey A Ashhad Asbar was severely reprimanded for failing to make adequate effort to hold his position in the middle stages of the race when he had every opportunity to do so. Further, he was informed that his future riding engagements would be closely monitored.

The Veterinary Officer reported that HIBIKI and SAM HOUSTON returned bleeding from their both nostrils. Trs.Raunak Banerji and Bharath Singh were advised not to accept with their respective charges until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
