For running his charge INDUS PRINCE in shoes other than those declared, Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was fined a sum of Rs. 500/-. Subsequently the gelding was permitted to run with all four aluminum plates.
BLAZING BULLET (Dashrath Singh) was re-saddled at the start.
INDUS PRINCE (A Imran Khan) and ZURVAN (App Ranidan Singh) were fractious while being stalled.
App Nikhil Naidu, the rider of AUBERON, reported that the bridle of his mount shifted out of position during the running of the race.
When afforded an opportunity to explain the performance of his charge BLAZING BULLET, Tr. Bharath Singh stated that :-
a) He was surprised as to how his charge had become favourite today as it was not at all fancied by the stable.
b) The gelding had always been an inconsistent performer.
c) In Race No. 70 of the just concluded Calcutta Monsoon Meeting 2017 the gelding had won the race as the front runner in that race had burst blood vessels which made the victory of his charge possible.
On questioning Jockey Dashrath Singh stated that in spite of his best efforts the gelding was not galloping freely throughout the race. The Stipendiary Stewards noted their explanations.
