At the request of Trainer Rutherford Alford gr f HAVANA GREY, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of 12th December, 2017 and was found to be suffering from a mild temperature. Under the circumstances the filly was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Mr. Rutherford Alford was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

EKAKIN (Y S Srinath) was fractious while being stalled.

STELVIO PASS (A Imran Khan) was fractious in its stall.

SNOW STAR (P Trevor) was extremely fractious while being stalled. In view of its behaviour Tr. Vijay Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

Jockey P Trevor, the rider of SNOW STAR, reported that his mount was running green and inclined to change its legs when placed under pressure. Tr. Vijay Singh was advised to get his charge examined by the Veterinary Officer and report ailment, if any.
