DANCING LORD (C S Jodha) was slow to begin

Jockey C S Jodha when queried as to the instructions received regarding the manner in which his mount b g DANCING LORD was to be ridden, stated that he was instructed by the Trainer to place his mount in 3rd/4th position during the early stages of the race and to do his best thereafter. He further stated that he was unable to place his mount as instructed during the early stages as the gelding did not exhibit any early speed. The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanation and would be referring to this statement at the enquiry that was opened into the running and riding of the gelding in Race No. 81.
