SHIVAYY sustained injuries while proceeding to the saddling enclosure. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Jasbir Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

DEPLOY (App P Tejeshwar) was fractious while being stalled.

MARIGOLD (App Hasib Alam, drawn 5) and DEPLOY (App P Tejeshwar, drawn 6) were inconvenienced soon after the start when GIZBAR (App Rupal Singh, drawn 8) jumped awkwardly ‘inwards’.

App Hasib Alam, the rider of MARIGOLD, was reprimanded for travelling wide while negotiating the final bend for no apparent reason.

Passing the 400 metres DEPLOY (App P Tejeshwar) had to be checked by its rider and lost some ground when GHOST CREEK (S Zervaan) came ‘in’ sharply. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey S Zervaan was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for shifting ground when not sufficiently clear of the other runner.

Jockey S Zervaan, the rider of GHOST CREEK, informed that his mount seems to perform best when being held up, however was inclined to shirk from its duty when pressure was applied by him.
