SEVENTH STEP (App R S Bhati) was fractious while being stalled.

RUSTLER (Hindu Singh) planted losing considerable ground at the start. The Starting Stall Certificate has been revoked by the Starter.

When afforded an opportunity to explain the improve d performance of his charge b g BAMBINI FESTA (I Khan) as compared to its previous run s , Tr. Javed Khan stated that : -

a) The gelding had not performed up to mark during the hot weather period as i t was an extremely dry coated animal .

b) T he present cool climatic condition s is more conducive for a better performance, hence he accepted the gelding to run in a 16 00 metres race which is more suited to the animal .

c) The gelding was not fancied by the stable considering its previous poor perfor mances. d) Other than this he could give no other plausible explanation for the improved performance .

The Stipendiary Stewards taking into account the gelding’s previous running records de cided to take no further action on this occasion other than noting his explanations. However, Trainer Mr. Ja ved Khan was advised to ensure that the gelding performs with a degree of consistency.

The Veterinary Officer reported that I TOLD YOU KNOW returned bleeding from both nostrils. Tr. J E Mckeown was informed not to accept with his charg e until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
