For accepting with his charge gr g SHIVAYY in the above race while under medication, Tr. Jasbir Singh was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/-. Subsequently the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn.

SHANAYAA'S PET (Shezad Khan), MARIGOLD (App Hasib Alam) aned ZARA GO ZARA (Vinay Jaiswal) were slow to begin.

Soon after the running of the race Mr. H S Bath, the Trainer of b m SHANAYAA'S PET, requested the Stipendiary Stewards to enquire as to why the equipment as referred by him as the “HOOD” on his charge had fallen off just before the start of the race and as to why it had not been put back into place or why it was not removed from the ground as this could have been the reason why the mare was slow to begin. The Stipendiary Stewards enquired from the Starters, the Handler attending to the mare and the concerned Jockey Mr. Shezad Khan. The Starter stated that they were unaware that the ‘Blind Fold' had fallen from the Handler's hand as it was not brought to their notice by either the Jockey or the concerned Handler. The Handler stated, that the mare was fractious in its stall and in the process the Blind Fold slipped from his hand. The Jockey stated, that the mare was fractious and was resenting the Blind Fold placed over its eyes and kept shaking its head to dislodge the same. Soon after the Blind Fold fell from the Handler's hand the start was given as the last horse had entered its stall and hence there no time for anyone to pick it up from the ground. The Stipendiary Stewards were satisfied with the explanations tendered by everyone concerned and decided to take no further action. The mare started and finished the race with all the equipment for which it had been declared to run with i.e. ‘Blinkers' and ‘Tongue Strap'.
