Racing Incidents

KNIGHT’S GAMBIT (App Sujit Kr. Paswan) and FENICIA (App Aditya Kr. Jaiswal) were slow to begin.As the gelding and the fillyhad behaved in a similar manner earlierTr. Vikash Jaiswal was informed not to accept with his charges until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

Jockey Mohit Singh, the rider of OPTIMUM, was reprimanded for failing to exercise adequatecontrol over his mount during the final 400 metres of the race in that he allowed his mount to shift ‘in’ and ‘out’ when placing it under pressure.

LOOKING GOOD (App R S Bhati) finished the race detached from the field. Tr. R W Alford was advised to get his charge examined by the Veterinary Officer and report ailment, if any and not to accept with the mare until it was capable of a better performance.Subsequent examinations by the Veterinary Officer afterthe race andthefollowing day revealed that the mare was trotting soundand no ailment was noticed.
