ch m SCORPION QUEEN (Rajendra Singh) was very reluctant to proceed to the start. Under the circumstances the mare was withdrawn from the race. Tr. Jasbir Singh was advised to get his charge adequately schooled before accepting with it again.

CAIDEN (Afzal Khan) was fractious while being stalled.

On being questioned regarding the running of his mount CAIDEN, Jockey Afzal Khan stated that his mountwas not striding fluently throughout the race andreturned with a cut injury on its hind leg. Tr. Shafiq Khan on being queried stated that the gelding had an issue with one of its hind legs when it was under the care of the previous trainer a few months ago. The Stipendiary Stewards requested the Sr. Vet to exam the gelding and report his observation. The Sr. Veterinary Officer reported that on examination the following morning the gelding was found to have a cut injury on left hind just belowthe medial aspect of the hock, however, the gelding was trotting sound. He was of the opinionthat the animal be once again examined and passed fit to race after observing “fast work” during the morning track work. Tr. Shafiq Khanwasinformed to abide by the decision of the Sr. Veterinary Officer before accepting with his charge.
