An objection was lodged by Trainer Mr. Farley Rodrigues, deputizing for Tr. Mr. J E Mckeown, the trainer of b g MANZONI (Hindu Singh) placed 2nd by the Judge against  Jockey Imran Chisty,  the  rider of PELION, placed  1st  on the  grounds of “forcing my charge ‘in’ at  about the 300 metres and  did not allow it a clear run which cost him a certain race”. The Stewards after interviewing Tr. Farley Rodrigues, Jockeys Hindu Singh and Imran Chisty, viewing the  CCTV replay of the race and taking into consideration the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Stewards decided  to  overrule  the objection.  The “All Clear” signal was ordered to be hoisted.   The Stewards further decided  to  fine   Tr. Farley Rodrigues a sum of Rs. 5,000/- for lodging a frivolous objection.

The Veterinary Officer reported that :-

a)    SANVI returned bleeding from its nostril.

b)    RUFUS returned lame on right fore.

Trs. Javed Khan and Bharath Singh were informed not to accept with their respective charges until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
