GALEN (Hindu Singh) jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’ from the gates.

For using “BASKET BIT” instead of the declared equipment “HANGING BIT” on his charge FANTASIA (Shailesh Shinde) in the race, Tr. C Alford was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/-.

Jockey R S Bhati, the rider of YAHALLA, reported that his mount was not striding out fluently during the final furlong of the race, particularly from the hind, as such he eased up his mount.  The Veterinary Officer was requested to examine the filly and report ailment, if any. On examination the Veterinary Officer reported that the filly suffered from hindquarter lameness, with signs of paraplegia just after the running of the race on 8th September, 2021, due to suspected spinal cord injury and has been kept under observation.

Subsequent to the race day, the Veterinary Officer reported that despite providing all necessary veterinary care and managements, YAHALLA failed to recover. As such the filly was euthanized on humanitarian grounds on 09.09.2021.
