As Jockey Akshay Kumar was unable to “weigh-out” at par his declared weight, Tr. Bharath Singh was permitted to substitute Jockey Neeraj Rawal to ride his charge MOTHER’S LOVE.

SEASKY (Sameer Khan) was extremely difficult to load.

AHNIKA (R S Bhati) was very fractious while being stalled and flipped over. The filly was examined by the Veterinary Officer, declared fit to race and was re-loaded.

Tr. Neil Darashah and Jockey Arshad Alam when afforded an opportunity to explain the running and riding of dk b g SHIVALIC GOLD, Mr. Darashah stated that as the gelding was travelling over a mile for the first time and since he considers it to be an ordinary horse, he had instructed the jockey to place his mount wherever possible and to ride his own race. The Trainer continued by stating that in his opinion the Jockey rode his best and he felt his charge would not have beaten the winner. Jockey Arshad Alam stated that he was instructed to take a good jump, place his mount in a good position with the mid bunch, ride comfortably and to do his best in the straight. However, the gelding was hanging ‘in’ from about the 600 metres and could not do any better. The Veterinary Officer was requested to examine the gelding and report ailment, if any. On veterinary examination after the races the gelding was found to be lame on left fore, as such no further action was taken beyond noting the explanations tendered for future reference. Tr. Neil Darashah was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

The Veterinary Officer reported that AHNIKA returned with a cut injury on right fore.
