Tr. Bharath Singh when afforded an opportunity to explain the poor performance of his charge b f SUESTADO as compared to its previous performance in Race No. 39 of the just concluded Calcutta Monsoon Meeting held on 24th October, 2021, stated that “as in her last outing the filly was very sluggish I had instructed Jockey A Sandesh to avail advantage of him having an inside drawn (dr. 2), take a good jump, place the filly in a good position to avoid the big field  in the race and thereafter to do his best. However, on jumping out the jockey went to the front and the filly had nothing much to offer during the final stages of the race as was informed by the Jockey”. On questioning Jockey A Sandesh corroborated the Trainer’s instructions. The Jockey continued by stating that he had followed the Trainer’s instructions, however, passing the 300 metres the filly started dropping back in spite of his best efforts and had nothing much to offer. Their explanations were noted.
