CORMORANT (C S Jodha) jumped out awkwardly from the gates. SCRIPT (Md Imran) was slow to begin.

Jockey C S Jodha, the rider of CORMORANT, was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/- for allowing his mount to shift in approaching the 800 metres causing interference to WANDERING ANGEL(Sujit Kr Paswan) on his inside.

NANDINI’S PET (Jockey Richard W Oliver) drifted outwards during the final stages of the race. The Jockey was advised to exercise greater control over his mounts in future and not rely only on the use of the whip to correct his mount’s drift during a race.

Tr. Javed Khan when questioned about the improved performance of his charge CORMORANT as compared to its previous run in Race No. 68 – The Albert Piperno Memorial Cup run on 12th February, 2022 stated that:-

a)    He had freshened up his mount after its previous run.

b)    This was a race for horses 5 years old and over.

c)    The set was relatively poor compared to its previous start, as such the gelding came out and won.

The Stipendiary Steward noted his explanations.

The Veterinary Officer reported that MYSTIC STAR returned bleeding from its nostrils. Tr. Manvendra Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
