PSYCHIC FORCE (Neeraj Rawal) was difficult to load.

Tr. Rutherford Alford when questioned regarding the riding instructions to Jockey S Saqlain on his charge REDOUBTABLE, stated that :-

a)    He had asked the Jockey to go to the front and slow down the pace.

b)    To gradually increase the pace from about the 800 metres and try and go away from the field from about the 600 metres.

c)    Keep the stick on the left in case the horse tried to drift out in the straight.

When asked about his observations of the race the Trainer stated that he was disappointed that the Jockey could not control his mount from about the 1000 metres, taking an unduly long lead which may have had an eventual bearing on the result of the race.

Jockey S Saqlain when questioned corroborated the instructions and explained that the horse took a hold from the 1000 metres and got more keen as he tried to restrain him, drifted out from about the 300 metres and as such he rode out in the straight while trying to correct his mount’s drift.

The enquiry shall be continued in this case.

The Veterinary Officer reported that on examination :-

a)    PSYCHIC FORCE was found to have left hind fetlock aberration.

b)    REDOUBTABLE was found to be sound.
