Racing Incidents
Soon after the start, Jockey C. Rajendra (TSESEBE) was observed to have lost his right stirrup which he could not regain throughout the race. On examination, the equipment was found to be in serviceable condition and the Jockey explained that the leather stirrup had got unbuckled and dangled on the side of his mount; therefore, he could not regain the same. Nevertheless, Jockey C.Rajendra has been advised to be more careful with his equipment in future. An objection was lodged by Jockey K.P.G.Appu, rider of DANCING DYNAMITE (placed 2nd) against Jockey P.Kamlesh, rider of ANTONIOS (placed 1st). The reason being that in the last 250 metres ANTONIOS (P Kamlesh) started shifting out when he was making his run on the outside and bumped his horse whereby he had to stop riding, which cost him a certain race.
