Trainer Dallas Todywalla and Jockey A.Sandesh were questioned regarding the running and riding of CLARION CALL. The instructions were to sit behind since the gelding was carrying 59 kg and to do his best in the straight. The Trainer added that he had employed similar tactics earlier but on that occasion the gelding had broken a blood vessel. The Trainer was satisfied with the Jockey’s riding. The Jockey stated that he wanted to sit with the horse. To another question as to why had he not taken up the running in the back stretch when the pace became too slow, the jockey re-iterated that he wanted sit. The explanation was noted.

After the race, CLARION CALL was found to be sound.
