Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (ARABIAN FIGHTER) has been fined Rs.3000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

Trainer Subhag Singh was given an opportunity to explain the comparative performance of his charge DEEP PURPLE in this race which the gelding won as compared to its previous runs during the current Pune Meeting. The Trainer stated that the Instructions to Jockey T.S.Jodha were to ride his own race. He added that he had run the gelding after 6 weeks and had fancied him in Place. He added that it was a weak field and was a restricted race for horses 5 years old and over. The explanation was noted.

Trainer Altaf Hussain was examined with regard to the positioning of his charge, ARABIAN FIGHTER, in this race, to which he stated that he had instructed Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar to be in 2^nd, 3^rd, or 4^th position and to do his best in the straight. The Jockey confirmed the Instructions and stated that he was asked not to travel wide. To another query, the Jockey stated that in the first 200 metres, he had an opportunity to be in position as instructed but he would have had to travel wide and also brush up his mount, which could have been detrimental to the chances of his mount, therefore he had slowed down at that stage. The explanation was noted.

After the race, SIZZLING LOVE was observed to have a bruise at the left hind coronet.
