Racing Incidents

DEMONIC (Abhishek Habhu) played up in the stall and hooked one of its fore legs in the adjoining stall. As such, both the horses, DEMONIC & AMSTERDAM who was in the adjoining stall were taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O.  and AMSTERDAM was certified fit to race. However, DEMONIC was found to be sore from the left fore leg, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds, before coming under the Starter’s Order.  The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. Further, Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to give DEMONIC more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. 

WINDSOR QUEEN (N.S.Parmar) was restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Also, on start, the filly lost a couple of lengths at the start.  Since the filly had behaved in a similar manner in her previous outings, Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter in two mock races, before next accepting to race her.

At the start, CELTIC KING (P.Kamlesh) began awkwardly. WIND CRAFT (App.Prasad) lugged out and carried SEA PEARL (Towfeeq R.Shaikh) outwards. ICE EMPIRE (S.P.Ranjane) shifted out and carried MOUNTAIN TREASURE (Shrikant Kamble) outwards. ICE AFFAIR (Shammi Khan) was steadied as NEGREDO (App.S.Mosin) shifted inwards and at the same time MOUNTAIN TREASURE (Shrikant Kamble) shifted out.

Soon after the start, SILSILA (R.Vaibhav) lugged out and carried ICE SKATER (Vivek) outward, who in turn carried BASIC LIFE (App.Sandeep Jadhav) outwards.

Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (AMSTERDAM) reported that his mount ran erratic throughout the race.

TAJ E SHAHI (C.S.Jodha) lugged out during the race. Trainer Adil Dajee has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. 

An enquiry has been initiated into the poor performance of LA TRAVIATA and a report will be submitted shortly.

After the race, SILSILA was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind coronet and TAJ E SHAHI had a cut injury at the right hind cannon. AMSTERDAM  (examined on 20/07/2013) was found to be sound.
