Racing Incidents

Approaching 200 metres, HEAD OF STATE (B.Sreekanth) shifted out and caused HOT AS ICE (C.S.Jodha) to travel wide.

Near 100 metres, AMSTERDAM (Akshay) shifted out suddenly and forced HEAD OF STATE (B.Sreekanth) outwards.

Trainer Karthik G, when given an opportunity to explain the poor performance of HEAD OF STATE, informed that the Instructions to Jockey B.Sreekanth were to be in 3rd or 4th position and not to let him run away as the horse has a tendency to bolt. He added that though the gelding had not performed promisingly in its previous start, however, he had worked well and considering that this company was poor, he had fancied the gelding. The Trainer had no plausible explanation to offer for the poor performance on this day.

After the race, ALL GUNS BLAZING was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, AUGUSTYNA, HEAD OF STATE, ST BARTS and ALL GUNS BLAZING were found to be sound.
