At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, TO THE MOON was examined at 0800 hours on 21/09/2013 and was found to be sore by the left fore leg, as such, the mare was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

After jump, ARABIAN CROWN (Vikram Jodha) veered to t he outside, thereby losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainer Vijay Kasbekar has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

Trainer Robert D.Mellow has been fined Rs.1,000/- for racing his charge HIGH RETURNS with bandages for which prior permission was not sought from the Club’s V.O.

Near 700 metres, PRINCE ARIUS (T.S.Jodha) was inconvenienced as SCARLET OF HOPE (App.Prabhu Naidu) shifted in. App.Prabhu Naidu has been cautioned.

Near 1000 metres, MIDNIGHT WIND (S.Zervan) shifted in and caused severe interference to OCEAN OF FAITH (App.Sandeep Jadhav). Jockey S.Zervan was reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding. Consideration of the matter was deferred to the next meeting of the Stewards.

After the running of this race, a Stewards Meeting was convened in view of the riotous situation following the poor performance of MIDNIGHT WIND, trained by Trainer H.J.Antia and ridden by Jockey S Zervan. After considering all submissions, the Stewards decided to initiate an Inquiry into the running of this race. Trainer Antia opted to have MODNIGHT WIND scoped.

Subsequently, the Sr.V.O reported that MIDNIGHT WIND was scoped at the Equine Hospital after the race and was found to have suffered EIPH (Gr.III). The filly is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

After the race, WINCHESTER was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, ARMEL, MIDNIGHT WIND and HIGH RETURNS were found to be sound.
