Racing Incidents

At the start, VICTORIOUS CAUSE (App.B.Nikhil, dr.7) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to ANCIENT ODYESSY (C.S.Jodha).

Passing 800 metres, ST BARTS (D.S.Rathore) shifted in and caused interference to VENEZIANO (S.P.Ranjane) who lost position and while being steadied, shifted out and went on to ICE GATE (Dashrath Singh) who in turn went on to VICTORIOUS CAUSE (App.B.Nikhil). Jockey D.S.Rathore was reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding.

The Stewards interviewed Jockey D.S.Rathore and having heard him and viewing the video recording of the race, were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him.  However, the Stewards decided to give him the benefit of the doubt for dangerous riding and held him guilty of careless riding on his mount ST BARTS. Therefore, the Stewards decided to suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 18th October, 2013 to 19th October, 2013 (permitted to ride work/mock race). Further, he was severely cautioned for the future.

Jockey Dashrath Singh (ICE GATE) reported that his right rein slipped at about 300 metres which he regained shortly.  

After the race, ST BARTS was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind fetlock and VICTORIOUS CAUSE had an abrasion at the right hind coronet. ONLY WHITE was found to be sound.
