Racing Incidents

TOOFAN (N.S.Parmar, dr.5) jumped out awkwardly and went on to DRACO (Dashrath Singh, dr.4).

Passing 1400 metres,  due to a tightly packed field, HOSHIYAAR (P.S.Chouhan) shifted in and tightened DRACO (Dashrath Singh), forcing the latter to check and drop back.

Passing the 400 metres, HOSHIYAAR (P.S.Chouhan) shifted in on to BACKSTREET BAY (R.Shelar). Jockey P.S.Chouhan has been cautioned

HOME ADVANTAGE (C.S.Jodha) hung-in in the straight. Trainer S.Waheed has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait was questioned with regard to the poor performance of his charge HOSHIYAAR. He stated that this was the first time in his last six starts that the gelding has run off board. He said that the gelding is dry coated and was blowing after the race and possibly the heat may be the reason for the poor performance. An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of HOSHIYAAR and a report will be submitted shortly.

After the race, BACKSTREET BAY was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

After the race, HOME ADVANTAGE was found to be sound.
