Racing Incidents

KOAL (Kavraj Singh) and PALATIAL (Amyn Merchant) jumped out slow, losing about 2 lengths each, at the start.
 
Soon after the start, COSTA SMERALDA (S. Zervan, dr.4) shifted in on to GLORIOUS HYMN (J. Pradeep, dr.3) who had to be steadied. Jockey S. Zervan has been cautioned
 
Approaching 1500 metres, GLORIOUS HYMN (J. Pradeep) shifted in thereby tightening MARVEL (P. Trevor) along the rails who had to be checked and dropped back.
 
Passing 800 metres, OLLY BOY (App. S. A. Amit) shifted in thereby tightening KOAL (Kavraj Singh) along the rails. App. S. A. Amit has been cautioned.
 
Passing 500 metres ARTIFICIAL (Yash Narredu) weakened and dropped back on to GLORIOUS HYMN (J. Pradeep) forcing the latter to be checked.
 
Approaching 400 metres, MARVEL (P. Trevor) shifted in thereby tightening ARTIFICIAL (Yash Narredu) along the rails.
 
Passing 300 metres, PALATIAL (Amyn Merchant) shifted in and went across GLORIOUS HYMN (J. Pradeep). On questioning, Jockey Amyn Merchant stated that in an effort to avoid clipping the front runner STARRY MOMENT (T. S. Jodha), he had to check his mount and change course.
 
After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (ARTIFICIAL) reported that his mount hung in throughout the race. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
 
After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (COVERT ACTION) reported that passing 600 metres his mount was inclined to run out and had to be steadied. Trainer B. Prakash has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
 
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of PALATIAL and a report will be submitted shortly.
 
After the race, KOAL was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind cannon. COVERT ACTION had lost its right fore plate and ARTIFICIAL was found to be sound in trot.
