At the request of Trainer S.Waheed, GDANSK was examined at 1000 hours on 13/10/2018 and was found to have left eye opacity, lacrimation, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the gelding from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting with him to race.
On the way to the start, IMPROVISSO (A.Sandesh) dislodged it’s rider and bolted. The filly was apprehended at the 1400 metres and was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. and found to have injury on both hind fetlocks. As such, IMPROVISSO was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. The trainer has to obtain a fitness certificate for the filly from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Soon after the start, App.Raghuveer Singh (CELESTIAL LIGHT) was observed to have been dislodged. On being questioned after the race, App. Raghuveer Singh stated that his filly was leaning to one side inside the stalls as the start was affected whereby he was not ready, due to which he was dislodged. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into this incident and a report will be submitted shortly.
Soon after the start, ANGELS HARMONY (App. Vishal N. Bunde) who was racing between the rider less CELESTIAL LIGHT and ORION’S BELT (Dashrath Singh) was tightened for room and had to be steadied.
ORION’S BELT (Dashrath Singh) was observed to have maintained an erratic course from 200 metres due to which FLOWER DUST (App. M. Ayyar) was inconvenienced on more than one occasion. On being questioned after the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh stated that the filly behaved in an erratic manner despite his efforts to maintain a straight course. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the filly and he reported that ORION’S BELT was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
