At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, THEA’S FIRE  was examined at 1015  hours on 16/08/2019 and found to be suffering from Diarrhoea, as such, the colt was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The Trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the colt from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
 
SUPREME BEING (R.Shelar) refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts, as such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Ivor Fernandes has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
 
At the start, PRINCIPESSA (App.Aniket Karande dr.3) was observed to have brushed the gates and jumped out awkwardly.
 
The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the running and riding of PRINCIPESSA and a report will be submitted shortly.

Jockey Santosh .G (SYLVESTER) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. On being questioned after the race, Jockey Santosh G. stated his mount had hung-in in the straight as such he had used the whip as a corrective measure. As the same was borne out on the video recording, no action has been initiated against Jockey Santosh G, however, Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
 
The Equine Hospital reported that PRINCIPESSA had right eye injury (sore).
 
After the race, LABURNUM was trotted and found to be sound.
