Mclaughlin (MANKI) that his instructions were to position his mount a close 3rd or 4th which he could not follow as his mount was keen soon after the start and found himself in front and thereafter in the straight his right rein slipped out of his hand in the final 100 metres while changing his whip hand, noted. However, he was cautioned to ensure that similar lapses do not occur in future.
