Racing Incidents

Consequent to Jockey P.S. Chouhan having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey N. Rajesh to be substituted on MERRY MAID.

Jockey P. Sai Kumar (DECCAN QUEEN) was fined Rs. 3,000/- for shifting out in the final 200 mtrs causing interference to GRENADA (Suraj Narredu).

Jockey S. Sreekant (KOMO KOMO KOMO) was fined Rs. 1,000/- for cutting across the field soon after the start, in the process, causing interference to CLASSIC EMERALD (J. Vikas) who in turn dropped back and went on TRANSITION (Deep Shanker) and CAMANCHO SPEED (M. Mark) racing behind.

Explanation of Jockey Suraj Narredu (GRENADA) that his mount was trying to hang in throughout the race more so in the straight inspite of his best efforts, noted.  Subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was lame on his right fore due to a fetlock joint sprain.
