ANCILLARY (Kuldeep Singh), BERNABEU (App. K. Mukesh Kumar) and BIG BOSS (Ajit Kumar) jumped out slowly losing about 1 to 2 lengths each.

Instructions were to go to the front, which he tried to follow until entering into the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort the gelding shortened his strides and fell back in the final 100 mtrs and was also hanging in inspite of his best efforts.  Trainer Shamsuddin while conforming the above added that his charge ran after a long lay off and this was his first run after being gelded.  Both Jockeys and Trainers explanations were noted for future reference. 

Jockey N. Rajesh (NANO BELLE) was fined Rs. 1,000/- for shifting out at about the 300 mtrs onto

MUSICAL NOTE (Y.S. Srinath) who in turn went onto EMERLAD REEF (Kiran Naidu).

SAN RAMON (App. C.S. Vikrant) trailed the field throughout the race.  Trainer L.D’ Silva was advised to take remedial measures before next accepting in a race.

An objection was lodged by Jockey N. Rawal (STAYING THE BEST) placed 2^nd by the judge against Jockey Kuldeep Singh (ANCILLARY) the winner in that “ he came in sharply in the last 50 mtrs thereby I had to check and stop my riding that cost me a certain race” was overruled by the Stewards, judges placings remaining unaltered.

Jockey Kuldeep was fined Rs. 2,000/- for shifting in at about the 50 mtrs when not sufficiently clear of STAYING THE BEST (N. Rawal), in the process causing interference to the latter.
