Trainer J. Silvester was questioned re: improved performance of his charge A HORIZONTAL URGE (App. Deepak Singh), the winner of this race, to which Trainer stated that his instructions to Jockeys were always to go to front and do their best in the straight.  In her last outing which being a 1400 mtrs race the mare was in front till the final 200 mtrs and thereafter dropped back as compared to the present engagement which being a weaker set, 200 mtrs less to travel and could go to the front easily was to his charge’s advantage and she held on to win the race was noted for future reference. Trainer J. Silvester was however, cautioned to be more consistent with regard to the running of his charge A HORIZONTAL URGE.

Explanation of App. Ajit Singh (ARRIVISTE) that as his mount jumped out slowly losing about 1 or 2 lengths and also due to fast initial pace, he was unable to position his mount close with the front runners as instructed and thereafter his mount did not raise a fluent gallop in the straight inspite of his best efforts.  Trainer L.V.R. Deshmukh while confirming the above added that his charge had run to her potential was noted for future reference.
