Racing Incidents

BHARAT PRINCESS (P. Trevor) took an awkward jump and lost about 1 or 2 lengths.  Trainer K.S.V. Prasad Raju was advised to show his charge at the gates to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting in a race.

Explanation of App. Deepak Singh (BYRON BAY) that his instructions were to sit close 2nd and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering into straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, the gelding did not raise a winning gallop inspite of his best efforts.  Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was trotting lame on right fore due to shoulder sprain.
