Racing Incidents

Consequent to Jockey Kuldeep Singh having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey P.S. Chouhan to be substituted on VIJAY'S HARMONY.
 
VIJAY'S HARMONY (P. S. Chouhan) got loose whilst being loaded and hack the course.  However, on the request of Trainer Laxman Singh the gelding was permitted to run.
 
Explanation of Jockey P.S. Chouhan (VIJAY'S HARMONY) that his instructions were to go to front and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort in the straight, the gelding shortened his strides in the final 300 mtrs and dropped back  inspite of his best efforts, noted.
 
Explanation of Jockey P. Trevor (LION OF CHINA) that his mount did not raise a fluent gallop throughout the race inspite of his best efforts, noted.  Trainer K.S.V. Prasad Raju while confirming the above stated that he had no plausible explanation to offer with regard to his charge’s poor performance was noted for future reference.
