Racing Incidents

TIGER was not declared to start.
 
Consequent to Jockey Kiran Naidu having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted App. Mukesh Kumar to be substituted on RED EXPRESS.
 
Explanation of Jockey Neeraj Rawal (ARAGONDA PRINCESS) that his instructions were to sit close with front runners and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, the filly did not raise a winning gallop inspite of his best efforts.  Trainer Laxman Singh while confirming the above added that his charge is running for the 1st time with a superior set as compared to the previous runs and she had ran to her potential and opined that 7 furlong is too much to travel for his charge.  Both the Trainers and Jockeys explanations were noted for future reference.
 
RED EXPRESS (App. Mukesh Kumar) collapsed and died near the saddling yard after the race due to cardiac failure.
