Consequent to Jockeys Y.S. Srinath and J. Chinoy not being available to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockeys Kuldeep Singh in place of Y.S. Srinath on EXCLUSIVE STRIKER and Jockey Akshay Kumar in place of Jockey J. Chinoy on AIR STRIKE.
 
Jockeys J. Chinoy and Y.S. Srinath were fined Rs. 5000/-and Rs. 10,000/- respectively for accepting to ride on the above day and failing to fulfil their engagements.
 
Explanation of Jockey Kuldeep Singh (EXCLUSIVE STRIKER) that his instructions were to sit close with front runners and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, the gelding did not show any turn of foot in the straight inspite of his best efforts, noted.
 
Explanation of Jockey Fergus Sweeney (BAYRD) in the presence of Trainer D. Netto that his instructions were to sit close 3rd/4th and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow in the initial stages of the race and thereafter his mount started dropping back from about the 800 mtrs inspite of his best efforts and the gelding did not raise a winning gallop in the straight.  The Trainer while confirming the above added that his charge had a set back after the last run  in Race No. 169 during Hyderabad Monsoon Races as such he has given a long layoff of more than two months to his charge  and ran in the present race.  The Trainer further added that he too was baffled with the run and has no plausible explanation to offer with regard to his charges poor performance, was noted for future reference.  Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the gelding sustained superficial injury over right hind.  However, the gelding was trotting sound after the race.
 
Trainer K. Satheesh was questioned with regard to improved performance of his charge EURO ZONE (Nakhat Singh) winner of this race, who finished off board in the previous races to which the Trainer stated that his charge has not ran to its potential in the previous races, as such he took permission to remove Tongue Strap  and Cross Nose Band,  the equipments used on his charge and also instructed the Jockey to go to front and do his best in the straight, which has been to his charges advantage and the gelding went on to win the race.  The Trainer further added that he has not fancied his charge and was available at longer odds, was noted. The Trainer was however fined Rs. 5,000/- for the inconsistent running of his charge.
 
Explanation of Jockey S.S. Tanwar (VIJAY’S EMPIRE) that his instructions were to go to front but due to fast initial pace, he was unable to go to front in the initial stages of the race and thereafter his mount did not raise a fluent gallop in the straight inspite of his best efforts, was noted for future reference.
