Consequent to App. B.R. Kumar having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey K. Sai Kiran to be substituted on SYMBOL OF GOLD.
 
Explanation of Jockey Fergus Sweeney (AMAZING RESPONSE) that his instructions were to sit close with front runners and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, the gelding did not raise a winning gallop.  Trainer D. Netto while confirming the above added that his charge was fractious inside the gates, was injured in the gates when he reared up in the stalls which he noticed after the race and this could be the reason for his charges poor performance, noted.  Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the gelding sustained deep cut injury over fore head region.  However, the gelding was trotting sound after the race.
 
Explanation of Jockey K. Sai Kiran (SYMBOL OF GOLD) that his mount did not raise a fluent gallop throughout the race and finished the course at the rear end of the field inspite of his best efforts.  Trainer Arjun Anne while confirming the above added that he had no plausible explanation to offer with regard to his charges poor performance was noted for future reference.  The Trainer was however, informed that any reversal of form in respective of his charge in future, he will be liable for severe disciplinary action.
 
Explanation of Jockey S.S. Tanwar (HEATHROW) that his mount did not raise a fluent gallop throughout the race inspite of best efforts.  Trainer Laxman Singh while confirming the above added that his charge is coming from a set back after her last race i.e. in R. No. 207 in Monsoon Season and running after a gap of about 2 ½ months as such the poor performance was noted for future reference.
