Trainer R.H. Sequeira was questioned with regard to the running of his charge THE SPECIAL ONE (Akshay Kumar) winner of this race, who finished 4th in the previous race to which the Trainer stated that his charge in the previous run, for the first time ran in a mile race where the gelding was gradually gaining ground and finished about 1 length behind the winner as such he opted to run in a 7 furlong race and also a better Jockey in the saddle added to his charges performance and just managed to win the race was noted.  The Trainer was however, cautioned to ensure that his charges race more consistently in future, failing which he will be liable for severe disciplinary action as deemed fit.

Explanation of Jockey Kuldeep Singh (SIYABONGA) that his instructions were to sit close with front runners and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, the filly shortened her strides in the final stages of the race inspite of his best efforts was noted for future reference.
 
SPACE SHIP (App. C.P. Bopanna) trailed the field throughout the race. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the mare sustained cut injury over left fore.  However, the mare was trotting sound after the race.
