Explanation of Jockey Suraj Narredu (AGNI) that his instructions were to sit close with front runners and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort in the straight, his mount shortened the strides and dropped back inspite of his best efforts Trainer D. Netto while confirming the above added that he has no plausible explanation to offer with regard to his charge poor performance, was noted for future reference. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and the colt was trotting sound after the race.

Explanation of Trainer D. Netto with regard to the improved performance of his charge LIGHTNING FIN (Rafique Sk) winner of this race who, finished off board in the previous race that his  instructions to the jockey was always to go to front and do the best in the straight which the jockey followed but the filly always shortened her strides in the final 100mts and fell back as compared to the present race where the filly held on the initial lead and also has the handicap advantage as compared to the previous runs as such she could manage to win the race. The Trainer further added he has not fancied and was available at longer odds was noted. Trainer however cautioned to ensure that his charge race more consistently in future.

CELERITAS (Akshay Kumar) sustained superficial injury over right hind. However, the filly was trotting sound after the race.
