Racing Incidents

Explanation of Jockey Akshay Kumar (WAVE RIDER) in the presence of Trainer R.H. Sequeira that his instructions were to sit close with front runners and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort the gelding did not show any turn of foot in the straight inspite of his best efforts. The Trainer while confirming the above added that he had no plausible explanation to offer to his charges dismal performance was noted for future reference. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sharp molaras on both sides.

Jockey B.R. Kumar (YANGA) reported that he accidentally lost his whip at about the 400 mtrs was not accepted and the Jockey was fined Rs. 1000/- for negligence in use of whip.

App. C.P. Bopanna (MAGICAL SKILL) was cautioned for failing to maintain straight course in the final 300 mtrs.

Jockey Neeraj Rawal (AIR STRIKE) reported that his mount was lugging in, in the final stages of the race inspite of his best efforts. Trainer R.H. Sequeira was advised to take remedial measures before next accepting in a race.
