Explanation of Jockey Akshay Kumar (EXCLUSIVE ART) that his instructions were to sit close 3rd/4th against and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, the filly dropped the bit and did not show turn of foot in the straight inspite of his best efforts. Trainer K. Robin Reddy while confirming the above added that his charge is running after a long set back of about 4 months. The Trainer further added that other than this he had no plausible explanation to offer with regard to his charges dismal performance was noted. Subsequent Endoscopic examinations of the filly revealed as a bleeder (Grade IV). Trainer K. Robin Reddy was advised to ensure that his charge is certified fit by the Club's Veterinary Officer before next accepting in a race.

Jockey A. Ashhad Asbar (MAHASHAKTI) was fined Rs. 3000/- for shifting in soon after the start in the process causing interference to BLAZING JUPITER (Kuldeep Singh).
The Stewards of the Club suspended App. Gopal Singh (MINNELLI) from riding in races w.e.f. 2nd January to 6th January 2020 both days inclusive for incompetent riding in that “he failed to improve his position in the initial stages of the race thereby riding contrary to the given instructions and thereafter instead of making his move from inside shifted out in the straight for no apparent reason thereby placing his mount at a disadvantage in the final stages of the race” under Rule 161 (ii) of the HRC Rules of Racing.

The App. is however, permitted to ride work during the period of his suspension.

The Stewards further cautioned Trainer Laxman Singh to be more careful in future while declaring the Jockey on his charges.
