DANDY MAN (P. Trevor) and LOCH STELA (C.P. Bopanna) jumped out slowly losing about 1 or 2 lengths each.
Explanation of Jockey P. Sai Kumar (RHYTHM SELECTION) in the presence of Trainer M.F. Ali Khan that his saddle moved back soon after the start as such he could not ride out his mount to complete advantage throughout the race. As this confirmed our observation, the Jockeys explanation was noted and the Trainer was fined Rs. 3000/- for negligence in discharging of his duty with respect to saddling of his charge.
Explanation of Jockey Kuldeep Singh (ZAMORA) that his mount stumbled soon after the start as such he could not position his mount well up with the field in the initial stages of the race and thereafter he did his best was not accepted and the Jockey was fined Rs. 2,000/- for tender handling of his mount for greater part of the rce.
Jockey C P Bopanna (LOCH STELLA) was fined Rs. 2000/- for failing to position his mount well up with the field in the initial stages of the race.
Explanation of App. Gopal Singh (BEYOND LIMITS) that his mount did not raise a fluent gallop for greater part of the race was not accepted and the App. was severely reprimanded for inept handling of his mount for greater part of the race.
Explanation of App. Abhay Singh (N R I HEIGHTS) that due to fast initial pace, he was unable to position his mount well up with the field in the initial stages of the race and thereafter his mount did not raise a winning gallop inspite of his best efforts. Trainer R.H. Sequeira while confirming the above added that he is baffled with regard to his charges dismal performance was noted for future reference.
Trainer R.H. Sequeira was questioned with regard to the inconsistent running of his charge BRITISH EMPRESS (Akshay Kumar) winner of the race who finished off board in the previous race to which the Trainer stated that his charge always ran consistent except in Race No. 60 where she finished close 7th about 3 lengths from the winner after which he had given a gap of over a month and ran in the present race, which had been to her advantage and a better Jockey in the saddle also added to her better performance and went on to win the race. The Trainer further stated that he had not fancied but given her a chance, was noted. . The Trainer was however, cautioned to ensure that his charges race more consistently in future failing which he will be liable for disciplinary action as deemed fit.
