Explanation of Jockey Surya Prakash (PINATUBO) that his mount jumped out awkwardly in the process losing about 1 or 2 lengths and thereafter did not raise a fluent gallop and also gelding was hanging in throughout the race inspite of his best efforts, noted. Trainer S. Sreekanth was advised to take remedial measures before next accepting in a race. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that though the gelding was trotting sound but has sharp molars on both sides. Trainer S. Sreekanth was fined Rs.1000/- for negligence in discharging his duties in presenting of his charge for a race.
 
Explanation of Jockey Hindu Singh (STAR OF NIGHT) that his mount was slow into stride as such he was unable to position his mount well up with the field in the initial stages of the race and in the straight he did his best was noted for future reference.
