Racing Incidents
Near 400 meters, AUTONOMY (C.D. Hayes) was forced to shift out when GLEAMING SKY (Y.S. Srinath) shifted out despite Jockey’s effort. Trainer Karthik G has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race with the filly. Trainer Bezan Chenoy and Jockey C.D.Hayes were questioned regarding the running and riding of AUTONOMY. The Jockey stated that he was instructed to sit well up but his mount was slow to begin and was then crowded with horses around him due to the slow pace of the race and he had no option but to sit where he was. He added that he was also tightened for room when GLEAMING SKY (Y.S. Srinath) lugged in and he lost his position. Further, that he had made his move as soon as he got the opportunity in the straight and near about 400 meters he was forced to travel wide due to GLEAMING SKY shifting out. The Trainer concurred with the views of the Jockey. The explanation tendered was accepted.
