Racing Incidents
The Stipendiary Stewards were not satisfied with the running and riding of GAME OF POWER, as such, both Trainer Nana Raghunath and Jockey Mansoor Khan were asked to meet the Stewards. The Stewards interviewed Trainer Nana Raghunath and Jockey Mansoor Khan and having heard them and viewing the video recording of Race No.276 :- a) The Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey Mansoor Khan and held him guilty of not permitting his mount to run on its merits. However, considering that the horse was at longer odds, they took a lenient view in the matter and decided to suspend his Jockey’s License w.e.f. 11th April 2008 to 30th April 2008 (both days included). Thereafter, should he apply for a Jockey’s license for the Season 2008/09 the same will be granted to him, however, his license shall stand suspended w.e.f. 24th July, 2008 to 31st August, 2008 (both days inclusive) (not permitted to ride work/mock race). Further, he was severely cautioned for the future;
