Racing Incidents
Soon after the start, PETRA (Paul Mulrennan) had her head on the side and shied away towards the inside and tightened OCEAN ODYSSEY (DK Ashish) who, while being steadied, shifted in and jostled with KERINGDINGAN (NG McCullagh), turning the filly sideways. Trainer P Shroff was questioned with regard to the poor performance of PETRA. He stated that the Jockey had informed him after the race that the horse did not like to be crowded by other horses and did not gallop well. He added that in her previous run the filly had gone to the front and continued to do so without being challenged. There was no change in her work pattern. The explanation was noted.
