Racing Incidents
SHARP RUNNER (C.S.Jodha) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. The Nose Band on CONZTANZA (S.Zervan) flapped during the race, as such, Trainer Mansoor Shah has been advised to properly fit the equipment that he uses on his charge. Trainer Mansoor Shah was questioned regarding the comparative performance of CONZTANZA in this race as compared to her previous runs during the Mumbai Meeting. The Trainer explained that this was the horse’s maiden win. In the previous race over a mile, the horse had run a forward race. He has been trying her in all distances. Today, the set was poor and the horse had won by a shortest of margin. He added that in his opinion there was only one horse to beat i.e. STAR VISION. Further enquiry would be held into the matter and a report will be submitted shortly. After the race, CONSTANZA was found to be sound.
